Happy Fathers Day

Honor thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
-Ephesians 6:2

Fathers seldom say "I love you"
Though the feeling's always there,
But somehow those three little words
Are the hardest ones to share.

And fathers say "I love you"
In ways that words can't match -
With tender bedtime stories -
Or a friendly game of catch!

You can see the words "I love you"
In a father's boyish eyes
When he runs home, all excited,
With a poorly wrapped surprise.

A father says "I love you"
With his strong helping hands -
With a smile when you're in trouble
With the way he understands.
He says "I love you" haltingly,
With awkward tenderness -
(It's hard to help a four-year-old into a party dress!)

He speaks his love unselfishly
By giving all he can
To make some secret dream come true,
Or follow through a plan.

A father's seldom-spoken love
Sounds clearly through the years -
Sometimes in peals of laughter,
Sometimes through happy tears.

Perhaps they have to speak their love
In a fashion all their own.
Because the love that fathers feel
Is too big for words alone! ~ Author Unknown ~

There is a heavenly Father that Loves you beyond what you can fathom!  His name is Jesus!

Happy Mothers Day

TJ and Corinne:

The first time I saw you, my heart filled with so much Joy!

It was an automatic bond that will last forever.

You are my angel baby; my gift from God; My answered prayer!

What an incredible love that I have for you.

I praise God for you and for God’s favor on me to be your mom.

I am so blessed and honored that God gave me YOU!

You are a miracle! God’s masterpiece from Heaven above!

I love you!

Mom

Before you had a name or opened up your eyes

Or anyone could recognize your face.

You were being formed so delicate in size

Secluded in God's safe and hidden place.

With your little tiny hands and little tiny feet

And little eyes that shimmer like a pearl

He breathed in you a song and to make it all complete

He brought the masterpiece into the world.

You are a masterpiece!

A new creation He has formed

And you're as soft and fresh as a snowy winter morn.

And I'm so glad that God has given you to me

Little Lamb of God, you are a masterpiece.

And now you're growing up your life's a miracle

Everytime I look at you I stand in awe

Because I see in you a reflection of me

And you'll always be my little lamb from God

And as your life goes on each day

How I pray that you will see

Just how much your life has meant to me.

And we're so proud of you

What else is there to say?

Just be the masterpiece He created you to be! ~~~Sandi Patty

The Old Rugged Cross

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,

The emblem of suffering and shame;

And I love that old cross where the dearest and best

For a world of lost sinners was slain.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

And exchange it some day for a crown.

O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,

Has a wondrous attraction for me;

For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above

To bear it to dark Calvary.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

And exchange it some day for a crown.

In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,

A wondrous beauty I see,

For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,

To pardon and sanctify me.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

And exchange it some day for a crown.

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true;

Its shame and reproach gladly bear;

Then He’ll call me some day to my home far away,

Where His glory forever I’ll share.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

And exchange it some day for a crown.

What You Mean To Me

Man of God *Loyal Friend*Strong Leader*Faithful Husband*Loving Father*Provider

Amazing and Mine!

Loving and kind, often knows what’s on your mind. Listens, suggests and defends, a true best friend. Proud of triumphs: patient, helpful and strong. Caring manner, sacrificing way, knows priorities day to day. A family man to admire!

You came into my heart with just one look and now~

You are my fearless love!

You know when to give me time and you know when to hold me.

When I am with you, the person I am supposed to be with, you make me feel…..Exactly!

                                            You are not everything I wanted…you are more!
Tony:

You are my best friend! You are my encourager, my protector, my provider, my confident, my lover, my hero, my strength! You are my everything!

I am honored to be your wife and I will cherish you always.
God has blessed me to have you as the father of our children. They so adore you as I.

You are a gift to all of us and everyone you meet.

I pledged my love to you in 1993 and that has not changed. In fact my love has grown even more. Our life has had some not so good times, but our life has also been amazing and good! We breathed through the lows and loved through the highs, together!

We continued to have faith in each other and through our Lord-Jesus Christ.

Through your leadership and confidence, you have given me and your children Hope and Happiness! You have given us so many things, that our lives are so much better and complete because of your unconditional love!

Because of you….we are complete!

I love you!

Yours Forever Always,

5 Finger Prayer

This is so neat! I had never heard this before. This is beautiful - and it is surely worth making the 5 finger prayer a part of our lives

1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones

2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction.. Keep them in your prayers

3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the president, leaders in business and industry, and administrators.

These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God's guidance

4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact that this is our weakest finger, as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them.

5. And lastly, our little finger - the smallest finger of all, which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others. As the Bible says, 'The least shall be the greatest among you.' Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively.

Don't tell God how big your storm is, TELL the storm how BIG your God IS...

A B C

Although things are not perfect

Because of trial or pain

Continue in thanksgiving

Do not begin to blame

Even when the times are hard

Fierce winds are bound to blow

God is forever able

Hold on to what you know

Imagine life without His love

Joy would cease to be

Keep thanking Him for all the things

Love imparts to thee

Move out of "Camp Complaining"

No weapon that is known

On earth can yield the power

Praise can do alone

Quit looking at the future

Redeem the time at hand

Start every day with worship

To "thank" is a command

Until we see Him coming

Victorious in the sky

We'll run the race with gratitude

Xalting God most high

Yes, there'll be good times & yes some will be bad, but...

Zion waits in glory...where none are ever sad!
