Connecting the Dots

Connecting the Dots
......______......______......______......._______........

I look at my life so far and sometimes all I see is dots, spaces in between, some lines here

and there, but not a whole picture.

Through out my life, I have learned what these marks mean. The dots are events or situations in my past. They can be good or bad or just things; happy times or sad times. Easy or hard times; even failures and successes.

The lines help connect the dots. By connecting the dots, it shows similarity, a sense of completion, understanding, meaning, and purpose. The lines help connect the relationship and make things make sense.

Spaces are where I am not sure what is going on or what’s happening. It can also be a time of feeling lost, nervous, excited, or even happy about what is going to happen next. Sometimes it is uncertainness, or I just need to wait for the right time and place to take the next step. Sometimes it’s a season of refocusing, of self-evaluation and refining. The time frame could be an hour, a day, a year, a decade or even a life time. No one knows.

All of these dots, lines and spaces seem to be making something like a picture, but because it’s not 100% complete, I am not sure exactly what it will be.

However, during the times the lines connect the dots and the spaces are filled, the picture begins to take shape. Life begins to unfold. The scene becomes clearer to what my life is becoming, and what my life means. The picture will become a legacy~People will be able to see my life where it started, what journey I took, and what my life means when I am no longer on this earth.

Time is passing and I am no longer confused or fearful of these dots, lines and spaces. In face I have a new hope and excitement about the final connection. For I am stronger~confident~brave~bold~and eager to complete the final mark.

I am now looking forward to completing this journey we call life to the fullest. Making every moment count as best I can. Yes, there will be more dots, lines, and spaces, but when the final dot is connected; the picture will be full and complete. Complete in HIM! The colors will be the most radiant, the meaning will be clear, and the message will never end. The picture will be good! The picture will be worthy for it will be God’s Masterpiece!
