Love is so many things to so many people.

Caring, sharing, protecting, providing, sacrificing, forgiving, helping, holding, encouraging, hoping and growing!

A special look, a warm embrace, hugs and laughter!

Fuzzie socks and hot cocoa, favorite movie with tissues, that surprise note in the mail, that extra hug from your child when you really needed it, the smell of fresh flowers, chocolate.

Trust, loyalty, commitment, honor, respect, actions, taking care of others and filling needs without expectation.

When you make others feel special, give advice without being condemning, doing something for someone from the heart, listening and hearing.

The smell of a newborn, the cute puppy in the window, first crush, dinner in the oven as you come in the door, a surprise party in your honor, your wedding gown/day, first car, the rain on a spring day, Christmas morning, coffee brewing!

Singing and dancing, shopping, traveling to new places, getting a message,

Your eyes as they see me, your hands as they hold me, your mind as you help me, your voice as it calms and instructs me, your smile when you are proud, your heart that loves me unconditionally, your forgiveness and mercy when I fail, your protection and ways of honoring your family, your leadership and faithfulness to God! Not just one day but EVERYDAY!

Love is all of these and more….But we would not have had the opportunity to experience LOVE without the ultimate example and sacrifice of LOVE! The love of God when he sent his only son to die for our sins. I personally cannot think of another way that would constitute such a definition of LOVE! There is nothing like God’s love; nothing can compare or measure up to the free gift that God offers….

John 3:16 “For God so Loved the world that he gave his only son, that whosoever believes in HIM shall not perish but have everlasting life.”

Love is truth and the truth shall set us free…

Love is God….God is LOVE!
